Yankees Fan

Parker can finally fit into his first Yankees t-shirt...Look how happy he is to be a Yankees fan!

Four Generations

My parents and grandparents came to visit this past weekend. Parker was so happy to finally meet his great grandparents. While they were here we got a picture of my grandma, my dad, Parker, and me - four generations! We also got some pictures of Parker with my parents so people will know he does have grandparents on my side (when they were down we didn't get many pictures of him with my parents for some reason)! Kinda looks like Parker is looking at my dad thinking...What is with that Superman pose?? :)

Oh Happy Days!

So after what seemed like several weeks of nonstop crying and being fussy, I think Parker is finally feeling a little happier about life. He's so alert and smiling a lot. It's way more fun this way!! Now if he could just get over this little stomach bug he seems to have picked up somewhere...

4th of July

Parker with Brynn and Molly...they're so cute!

Multi-tasking

Chad has finally learned how to multi-task! We were trying to get ready to go to church for the first time with Parker and he wasn't making it easy, so Chad strapped him in the Baby Bjorn and got to finish cooking breakfast for us! He was so proud of himself...and we actually made it to church on time!

Where Did The Time Go??

I can't believe it's been 6 weeks since Parker graced us with his presence! I had a feeling he wasn't going to wait until June 5th and he didn't. He was born two weeks early on May 25th, at 3:48 pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. and measured 19 3/4 inches. Labor and delivery went fine thanks to an epidural, or happidural as our childbirth class instructor called it, which is actually a much more appropriate name. I don't know why anyone would want to go through that pain without something to ease it!

Parker is doing great! He is so adorable and we are so excited to finally have him here. Boy, it's amazing how much a tiny baby will change your life! He kept us on our toes the first couple of weeks between having a hard time gaining weight and having to be readmitted to the hospital when his jaundice level went really high. It was so awful seeing him lay in a plastic basinett under the bilirubin lights with that mask over his face that he couldn't take off for two days. :( But his color looks great now and the whites of his eyes are finally white like they're supposed to be instead of yellow. And he can definitely eat...seems like that's all he wants to do lately! He was up to 9 lbs at his one month check up.

June went by so fast! We had family in town from the day he was born until the end of June. It was tiring but I loved having everyone here to meet him and spend time with us. I think the only time he wasn't being held by someone was at night when he was in his cradle!

I'm amazed at how fast he's changing. He's so much more alert now and is finally making eye contact and smiled at us for the first time on Monday. That was the best!
