It’s Official…

they’re Mr. & Mrs. Faust!  On May 20, 2011, Mike and Danielle tied the knot!  It was a beautiful ceremony and a perfect day.  It was very obvious how much they love each other and I’m so happy they’re finally married!

We were up bright and early to get to the salon so the girls could get their hair done.  Here they are…a work in progress:

Danielle was hoping Jenn could recreate the same hairdo as at the trial run…and she did!

Emma had a picture and knew exactly what she wanted…and luckily the hairstylist had just done the same hairdo for a girl the week before!

IMG_2611

Jenna was had no picture and had a hard time getting the hairstylist to see her vision for her hairdo...it turned out beautiful in the end after a quick fix of her bangs when we got home!

The final products:

So cute!

Mom looked so pretty with her hair done too!

Camryn had looked forward to this day for a long time!  She was so excited to have her hair done and put on her pretty dress!

Time to do our makeup!

IMG_2640

I was not expecting to do Danielle’s makeup, but with a little help from Jacklyn and Connie, it looked great!

The only pictures I have of the ceremony…my photographer was too busy occupying in Parker!

She was so excited…we were all thinking that if there was ever a day that Mike might shed a tear it would be that day…but that didn’t happen. He was pretty excited too, though!

“I do!”

So happy to finally be Mr. & Mrs. Faust!

They had a half hour of dancing before dinner…it was the perfect time for Parker to show off his moves and dance with Camryn before he headed back to the hotel and Mommy & Daddy enjoyed a night to themselves!

This is the Mid-Hudson Bridge behind us.  Mike and Danielle emailed a guy and they actually lit it up in sangria lights for them that night!

Rehearsal Party!

Rehearsal at the church went pretty smoothly.  It took us two run throughs but everyone quickly figured out where to stand, when to go, and got strict instructions to walk slowly (from who I won’t say…)!  Then it was time to party!

The rehearsal party was so much fun.  Dinner was at Mariners on the Hudson River (Mike’s cousins own and run it).  Dinner was delicious…and the chocolate lava cake was amazing!  I still haven’t had a chance to thank Danielle & Mike for the candle in my cake and for singing to me…I thought we were just recognizing the kids’ birthdays!

So happy and excited for the next day!

Parker & Jenna…he was just about done having his picture taken at this point.  Little did he know what was going to happen tomorrow…

It was all fun and games…

Until Parker got a fever and threw up!  Poor baby…he just wasn’t acting right Tuesday afternoon and started feeling warm right before his nap.  I gave him some tylenol and put him to bed.  When he woke up, he still felt warm and was very crabby.  I gave him some more Tylenol and had just sat down with him on the couch to cuddle him when he threw up all over me.  Oh the joys of being a mom!  Luckily there were four other people there to help us get cleaned up.  I felt so bad for him…he was just pitiful!  But I kept trying to look on the bright side in that it could have been the night before the wedding…

                                   IMG_2527

Luckily this little bug or whatever it was didn’t last long and he felt better in just a day or two.  The funniest part of the whole thing had to be Uncle Mike getting puked on…  I guess that’s what happens when you feed a sick baby jello and then ice cream!  Lesson learned, right Uncle Mike??

Pre-Wedding Fun!

The week before Mike & Danielle’s wedding started out great.  We had fun helping finish last minute details and spending time with Aunt Elle & Uncle Mike (and by the way, I hope to never step foot in another A.C. Moore as long as I live!).  Nona & Grampie showed up a day early to surprise us.  Parker got to spend time with his friends, Camryn & Dylan.  We went to see the train and the  boats on the Hudson River, and the T.V. never seemed to stop playing Mickey Mouse (that’s what happens when you visit Aunt Elle & Uncle Mike’s house I guess)!

We even got lucky enough to see  a train going the other way a few minutes later!

And yes, I did say the week started out great - that was until Tuesday evening…

Family Time!

After our trip to Myrtle Beach, everyone came back to spend a few days at our house.   We loved that everyone stayed at our house this time…even though it was pretty tight!

We have the best yard for an Easter egg hunt.  The guys hid a ton of eggs, and I’m surprised we aren’t still finding them out there!

He spent more time pushing the motorcycle than riding it.  Hopefully he’ll get the hang of it!

What a great time …and it was only a few weeks until we saw them again at Danielle’s wedding!

Just Testing…

I’m trying out Microsoft writer live  to update my blog since the way I’ve been doing it takes forever…if it works, maybe I’ll actually be able to keep my blog current!  Here’s one of my favorite pictures of Parker & Eli from December!
